Well I decided it was finally time to make my disaster zone craft room feel more like a place where I could work, and be inspired. So I decided to go through my travel photos and see what I had in there that was somewhat craft related.
I found some images I took while traipsing about in Mexico, all three are examples of their vibrant fabrics that are used everywhere. I thought these photos would be the perfect subjects for the black and grey photos will colour isolation.
This is a technique that I’ve always wanted to try, but being a photoshop newbie I have been too scared to tackle it. Well this morning I scoured the internet for tutorials that I could use on GIMP and I found an amazing tutorial.
This tutorial is simple to follow, is very quick to do, and provides some excellent results! Well excellent enough for me, maybe not for all you photoshop whizzes!
So if you have always wanted to give this technique a whirl and have been too shy I suggest you pop over to this website and give it a shot. It’s well worth your time :)
The Easter craft fair is finally here! Ready for a day of shopping and selling :) I finally got everything organized and have a total of 500 items for sale!
It’s contest time…
That’s one big pile of buttons! Next weekend is the first craft sale of the year, and all my slacking has become readily apparent. This weekend I had to stock up on my button earrings and I made so many my thumb is now completely raw!

It’s crunch time - next weekend is the Easter craft sale and I’ve got way too many unfinished items! So this weekend will be a weekend for baking, assembling, and labelling all those unfinished items.
My craft room looks like a tornado just ripped through it. It’s terrible…and slightly embarrassing.
This ring is one item that actually made it all the way through the production line last night, hopefully many more will follow.
